Closing achievement gaps is one of the most important educational issues we face.  Recent research on the impact of teacher effectiveness on student learning, and disparate levels of access to effective teachers and rigorous curriculum experienced by children of color and children of poverty, reinforce the claim that education is the civil rights issue of our time. 

GEIG works with districts and schools to complete equity audits, determine areas of focus, and engage in strategic planning to begin to close achievement gaps for historically under-served students. Following the completion of a school or district equity audits, a solid understanding of actionable steps will be surfaced.
